1. Start Reading the Bible
The Bible is God's word to you. Start with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus, then explore the rest of the New Testament.

2. Find a Local Church
You weren't meant to follow Jesus alone. Find a Bible-believing church where you can worship, learn, serve, and build relationships with other believers.
What to Look For:
- • Teaches the Bible faithfully
- • Welcomes newcomers warmly
- • Offers opportunities to serve and grow
- • Has a community you can connect with
3. Get Baptized
Baptism is your public declaration that you're following Jesus. It's a beautiful picture of dying to your old life and rising to new life in Christ.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." — Matthew 28:19
Talk to a pastor or church leader about getting baptized. Most churches offer baptism classes to help you understand what it means.
4. Tell Somebody
Don't keep this good news to yourself! Share what Jesus has done in your life with others.
"The woman left her water jar and went back to the town and said to the people, 'Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?' They came out of the town and made their way toward him." — John 4:28-30
Like the woman at the well, you have a story to tell. Your testimony is powerful—share it with friends, family, and anyone who will listen.
5. Keep Growing
Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. Here are some daily habits that will help you grow:
Talk to God like a friend. Share everything—your joys, struggles, and questions.
Spend time in God's word every day, even if it's just a few verses.
Join a small group or Bible study to grow alongside other believers.
Tell others about Jesus. Your story can change lives.
Remember: You're not alone. God is with you every step of the way, and so is the global family of believers. Don't be afraid to ask questions, make mistakes, and lean on others.
