BAPTISM
Baptism is a powerful step of obedience that shows the world you’ve decided to follow Jesus. It’s an outward symbol of the inner change that’s happened in your heart—a public declaration that you’ve been saved and your old life has been buried with Christ, and now you’ve been raised to new life in Him. While baptism doesn’t save you, it’s an important way to express your faith and commitment to Jesus. If you’ve accepted Christ, baptism is your next step in following Him.
Scripture: "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins"(Acts 2:38).
Application: Baptism is a public way to show your faith in Jesus. It symbolizes the death of your old self and your new life in Christ. Take this step to declare your commitment to follow Jesus.
BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word and your guide for living a life that honors Him. As a new believer, reading the Bible helps you learn more about who God is, His plan for your life, and how to grow in your faith. It’s filled with wisdom, truth, and encouragement for every situation you face. The more you spend time in the Bible, the more you’ll understand God’s love, His promises, and His purpose for you. Start with small, daily readings and ask God to help you understand and apply His Word to your life.
Scripture: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105).
Application: Get to know God better by reading the Bible daily. It will guide you, teach you, and help you grow in your faith. Start with a few verses each day, and let God’s Word shape your life.
PRAYER
Prayer is simply talking with God—it’s how we connect with Him, share our hearts, and listen for His guidance. As a new believer, prayer is one of the most important ways you grow in your relationship with Jesus. You don’t need fancy words; just be honest and open. Through prayer, you can thank God for His blessings, ask for help in tough times, confess your sins, and seek His direction for your life. It’s a powerful way to experience God’s presence daily and to align your heart with His will.
Scripture: "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful" (Colossians 4:2).
Application: Prayer is essential for a strong relationship with God. Make time every day to talk to God—thank Him, ask for help, and share your thoughts. Prayer will deepen your connection to God and help you rely on Him.
CHURCH
Being part of a church or community of believers is essential for your growth as a follower of Jesus. The church is more than just a building; it’s a family of people who come together to worship God, encourage one another, and grow in their faith. In a church community, you’ll find support, friendship, and guidance as you walk through life. It’s a place where you can learn more about God’s Word, serve others, and be strengthened in your relationship with Jesus. Together, we grow stronger in faith and live out our calling to follow Christ.
Scripture: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together" (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Application: Surround yourself with other Christians who can encourage and support you in your walk with Jesus. Join a church or small group where you can learn, grow, and serve alongside others.
SHARE YOUR FAITH
Sharing your faith is simply telling others about the hope and love you’ve found in Jesus. As a new believer, it means sharing your story of how Jesus has changed your life and explaining the good news that He offers forgiveness and eternal life to everyone. It’s not about having all the answers, but about being authentic, caring, and willing to point people to Jesus through your words and actions. One of the best ways to grow in your faith, is to share Jesus with others.
Scripture: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15).
Application: One of the most important steps in following Jesus is telling others about Him. Share your story of how Jesus changed your life with friends, family, or anyone you meet. God can use your testimony to bring others to Him.
